Cookie Policy
This cookie policy outlines the cookies Aux Jeux uses, why they are used, and how you can manage them. We follow current best practice for online consent, requiring your active opt-in for non-essential cookies.
1. What are cookies?
Cookies are small text files your browser saves on your device when you visit the site. Among other things, they remember user choices, support the siteโs basic operation and, with your consent, may be used for analytics and marketing purposes.
A cookie can be set either by the site itself (first-party cookie) or by a third-party provider (third-party cookie).
2. Categories of cookies
2.1 Strictly necessary cookies
These cookies are necessary for the siteโs basic operation. They do not require consent, as the site cannot function as intended without them.
- llh_consent โ remembers the cookie choice you have made so the banner does not appear on every visit. Retention: 12 months.
- session-id โ a server-side session identifier. Retention: for the duration of the session.
2.2 Analytics cookies (optional)
We use these only when you accept them through the cookie banner. Analytics cookies show how visitors use the site, helping us improve content and usability.
- _ga, _ga_* (possible Google Analytics) โ anonymised visitor statistics. Retention: up to 13 months.
If you do not accept analytics cookies, these will not be set in your browser.
2.3 Marketing cookies (optional)
Marketing cookies would only be used with your consent and would allow targeted advertising. Aux Jeux currently does not use marketing cookies. If that changes, we will notify you beforehand and update this list.
3. Giving and withdrawing consent
The first time you arrive at the site you will see a cookie banner with two choices:
- 'Accept all' โ consent to analytics and marketing cookies (if any).
- 'Essentials only' โ only strictly necessary cookies are set.
Your selection is saved in your browser for 12 months. You may change it any time by clearing the siteโs cookies; the banner will appear again on your next visit.
4. Managing cookies in your browser
You can also manage cookies directly from your browser. In most browsers you can:
- view and delete stored cookies;
- block all cookies, or cookies from specific sites;
- set the browser to notify you when a cookie is set.
Guides for the most common browsers:
- Chrome: Settings โ Privacy and security โ Cookies and other site data
- Firefox: Settings โ Privacy & Security โ Cookies and Site Data
- Safari: Settings โ Privacy โ Manage Website Data
- Edge: Settings โ Cookies and site permissions
Note that blocking strictly necessary cookies may cause issues with the site.
5. Retention
Each cookie carries its own retention period, as noted in the descriptions above. Generally, Aux Jeuxโs own cookies are kept for no longer than 12 months. Session cookies are deleted when the browser closes.
6. Updates to this policy
We update this cookie policy when needed, such as when we add a new service or a law changes. Significant updates are announced on the site, and the most recent update date is always shown at the top of this page.
